TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County Homicide Detective Paul Hoke continues to serve even in death.
Detective Hoke, who was an organ donor, will help provide life-saving hope to those in need.
The detective, who worked for the Baltimore County Police Department since 1995, passed away last week on January 2nd.
On Tuesday, his life was celebrated during an Honor Walk at Sinai Hospital with family, friends, and colleagues present.
After the honor walk, a flag was also raised outside the hospital in honor of Detective Hoke’s gift of kindness.
“Paul was always looking to pay it forward. He was supportive and giving. Paul was never known to be a selfish person and always put others above himself. He had a sense of moral duty and a desire to extend others’ lives. When he had his transplant surgery, he was very appreciative of his second chance at life, and I think we can all say he took full advantage of that second shot," said some of his fellow officers.
